Strong showing by collegiate teams, Yonsei, Chung-Ang University join finals atop group

The fourth stage of the 3×3 All-Pac Tour comes to a successful conclusion.

The fourth week of the Korea 2024 3×3 All-Pac Tour, held at the Seoul Olympic Park 3×3 Stadium, came to a successful conclusion on Nov. 11.

Following last week’s Korea University, this week’s elite teams from Yonsei University, Chung-Ang University, and other universities added to the excitement and glamor of the tournament. A total of seven teams showed their bromance under the cool autumn breeze in the city center, and felt the joy of victory and the regret of defeat.

Let’s start with the results of Week 4. In Group A, which included Elegant Sports, Chungju, Cosmo, and Yonsei, and Group B, which included JCrew, Chung-Ang University, and Basketball Research Institute, Yonsei’s team of Lee Joo-young, Lee Hae-sol, Kim Seung-woo, and Lee Yoo-jin won all of their games against Cosmo, Chungju, and 스포츠토토사이트 Elegant Sports by 21 points to top the group and advance to the finals.

Like Korea University, Yonsei’s performance was overwhelming. While Korea University played a fast-paced, high-energy, and strong defense, Yonsei played a slower, more relaxed game that controlled the tempo and played spacing basketball with all three players on the court shooting two-pointers.

Group B continued to be dominated by elite college teams. Chung-Ang University topped the group with wins over JCrew and Basketball Institute. While Chung-Ang University struggled a bit in the first game against JCrew, taking a 17-16 lead, the team seemed to have adjusted to the unfamiliar 3×3 format in their second game against Basketball Research Institute, winning 21-9 with a flurry of two-pointers.

Meanwhile, Chungju, who traveled more than two hours from Chungju to Seoul every week from Week 1 to Week 4, also tasted victory over Elegant Sports, led by 196-centimeter big man Park Hyun-geun.

It wasn’t just the games that were fun. On the Friday night before the weekend, a large crowd gathered to watch the game. Joggers became spectators as they watched the All-PacTour match on a 3×3 field.

“There were a lot more fans than I expected, so I was nervous, but I tried to turn that nervousness into fun (laughs),” said Lee Joo-young from Yonsei University. ”Personally, I’ve always wanted to play basketball at the outdoor court in the Olympic Park with a view of Lotte World Tower, and I realized that today. Being with so many fans made me realize that basketball is becoming more popular, and I think it was a great opportunity to improve my physical fitness through 3×3 during my vacation.”

After completing the preliminary rounds from Weeks 1 through 4, six teams have advanced to the final tournament: Black Label Sports, Cosmo, Dongguk University, Korea University, Yonsei University, and Chung-Ang University. Only two of the eight tickets to the Grand Finals remain.

A week later, in Week 5, the teams that didn’t make it to the finals will have one last chance to compete in the loser’s bracket. With only two teams coming back from the loser’s bracket, it’s shaping up to be a fierce battle.

The AllPak Tour is heating up with each passing week. The performances have exceeded expectations, making the final round of the final round of the final round in two weeks even more exciting.
