The video of Son Heung-min’s polite selfie refusal is going viral.
“Tottenham Hotspur striker Son Heung-min was unable to take a selfie with fans due to strict contractual rules,” the British publication Sports Bible reported on Nov. 11.
The striker is currently busy playing A-League matches for the South Korean national team, but he has been interacting with his supporters and providing fan services.
According to a video released by the outlet, 스포츠토토 South Korean fans showed up at the training center to watch Son Heung-min in person.
However, Son Heung-min politely declined a fan’s request for a selfie because he was unable to hold the iPhone in the fan’s hand because he is an endorsement model for Samsung.
After politely declining the request with both hands, Son Heung-min handled the situation with the right attitude, 토토 agreeing to take a photo with the fan’s phone even though he couldn’t hold it himself.
Conversely, he responded to a request for a picture of a “Samsung” phone that another Korean fan had by holding it up and performing “selfie” fan service.
The media praised Son’s smart move, citing the 2012 case of Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho, 스포츠토토링크 who was sponsored by Coca-Cola but had his contract terminated for drinking rival Pepsi Cola during a press conference.
