Kim walks a lonely road: “I have to do what I can to improve the volleyball world”

Kim Yeon-kyung (36, Heungkuk Life), a one-of-a-kind “world-class” volleyball star, has revealed why she continues to criticize the sport.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine on Sunday, Kim said, “Actually, it would be easier if I stopped playing volleyball after I retired. “But I’m a ‘volleyball girl’ after all,” she said, ”and I can see things that need to be improved. I see things that need to be improved, so I can’t help it.”

Kim, who has been playing for the national team since 2005 and has led South Korean women’s volleyball from the periphery of Asia to the center of the world, has been a vocal advocate not only for her own career, but also for changing the injustices and inequities that have plagued the sport.

Kim has faced many obstacles in her quest to improve Korean volleyball, but she has remained undaunted and has continued to point them out.

She went one step further and recently established a foundation named after her.

“I’m so excited and proud to see the players who received my volleyball dream scholarship and are now playing in the professional league or for the 메이저사이트 national team,” Kim says of the foundation.

“I want to support not only volleyball but also many other unpopular sports, and I hope they will grow and make a good impact,” she added.

Earlier this month, Kim held a joint national team retirement ceremony with her former teammates, including Lee Sook-ja, Han Yumi, Han Song-i, and Yang Hyo-jin.

“Time flies,” Kim said, ‘I can’t believe how fast it went by. There was a lot of pressure and pressure, but I’m glad I did my best at the moment,’ she said, adding, ”It’s nice to be able to retire with the love of so many people.”

Despite hanging up her Taegeuk mark, she is still at the top of her game in the V-League.

“There are many people who get to the top quickly, but not many people stay there for a long time,” Kim said, adding, ”I tried to stay in my prime for a long time.”

She thanked the fans for their love, saying, “Fans want to see players who keep getting better and better,” and “I’ve come this far because I want to respond to their love.”

“I want to play a role in the development of Korean volleyball,” said Kim, who still has a great love for the sport.
