NBA Mitchell re-signs with Cleveland for $200 million for 3 years

Donovan Mitchell, the star player of the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), has extended his contract for three more years.

Sports media outlets ESPN and AP reported on the 3rd (Korean time) that Mitchell had re-signed with Cleveland for three years, $153 million (approximately 291 billion won).

Mitchell also announced via his social media accounts that he intends to remain in Cleveland.

Mitchell’s contract reportedly includes the right to sign a five-year, $380 million extension if he becomes a free agent in the 2027-28 커뮤니티 season.

Mitchell, 27, had a stellar performance in the first round of the 2024 Eastern Conference playoffs against the Orlando Magic, helping Cleveland advance to the second round.

He only played in 55 games in the 2023-2024 regular season due to injury, but averaged 26.6 points and 6.1 assists.
