Hwang Yu-min, who won the domestic opening match of the 2024 Korea Ladies Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour, rose to No. 40 in the world rankings, her highest in her career.
Hwang Yu-min received a rating of 2.06 in the women’s golf world rankings announced on the 9th, rising 23 places from last week (63rd) to 40th. Yumin Hwang won the Doosan Construction Weave Championship, which ended on the 7th, giving her the second win of her career and also ranking her first in money and grand prize points this season.
Yumin Hwang, in her second year on the regular tour, won the Daeyu Winia MBN Women’s Open last year when she was a rookie, putting her in the top 100 for the first time, where she was ranked 98th. She has steadily risen since then, reaching as high as 56th, but Hwang Yu-min, who had recently been pushed back slightly, has risen to 40th with her second career win.

The remaining Korean players in the top 50 are Yoo Hae-ran (32nd), Lee Ye-won (33rd), Choi Hye-jin (36th), Bang Shin-sil (37th), Park Min-ji (42nd), and Lim Jin-hee (49th).
