The Korean men’s shooting team won a bronze medal in the 50-meter rifle three-position team event.

The Korean team of Kim Jong-hyun, Kim Sang-do (KT) and Mo Dae-sung (Changwon City Hall) shot 1,748

points to win bronze behind India (1,769) and China (1,763) in the men’s 50m rifle three-position team

event on Monday at the Fuyang Throat Sports Center in Hangzhou, China.

The 50-meter rifle three-position team event consists of three athletes shooting 20 rounds each from the

kneeling position (slingshot), prone position (copy) and standing position (standing), with the combined score determining the order of finish.

For South Korea, Kim Jong-hyun shot 587, Kim Sang-do shot 585, and Mo Dae-sung shot 576.

The team final also doubles as an individual qualifier. Korea’s Kim Jong-hyun finished sixth overall and

Kim Sang-do finished seventh. The individual final will be held at 3 p.m. today.

Who won a silver medal in the men’s 10m air rifle team event, will try to win a third individual medal after

his bronze in the 50m rifle three-position team event.

In the women’s 10m air pistol team event, Kim Bomi (IBK), Lee Si-yoon (Imsil County Office) and Yang Ji-in

(Korea Gymnastics University) narrowly missed out on a medal with a total score of 1716, finishing fourth

behind China (1736), India (1731) and Chinese Taipei (1723).

In the individual competition, Kim Bomi finished ninth, Yang Ji-in 12th and Lee Si-yoon 35th, missing out on a top-eight finish.

Kim, who shot 575 points, missed the final by just one point behind eighth-place finisher Shing Ho Ching (HKSAR – 576). 스포츠토토맨
